Clarification
to avoid potential misunderstandings regarding the tiebreak rules applicable in this test tournament.
The ICCF tournament page states in the lower section: : ‘Ties are not broken.’
This is indeed true for the ICCF tournament page, insofar as it does not apply tiebreak rules in view of the special rules for the test tournament.
However, the privately donated prizes will be awarded according to the tiebreak scoring on this website.
Great news
Mr. Rutar is providing an additional prize money of 1,000 USD, which will be used to reward wins and favoured draws. The distribution will be done after the tournament has ended.
"This money should be divided proportionally to the number of points from wins and favored draws. (Equal and disfavored draws will not be counted.) If we get, for example, 2 wins and 10 favored draws, the calculation would be:
P = point value
2x5xP + 10x3xP = $1000
40xP = $1000
P = $25
Each win would receive $125 and each favored draw $75. Place prizes will remain the same: $600, $300, and $100." (Email from Oct. 30, 2025)
